Bahaa Sami Amin Nathsheh, 19, was shot and killed by Israeli settlers in the village of Kobar, north of Ramallah, according to the Palestinian health ministry, cited by the Palestinian news agency Wafa.

The ministry said settlers opened fire on a group of Palestinians, wounding Nathsheh, who was from the Kafr Aqab area near Jerusalem. He later died of his injuries.

According to the Palestinian Red Crescent Society, Israeli forces arrived at the scene afterward and prevented Palestinian medics from treating the casualty. That account has not been confirmed by the Israeli military.

Settlers opened fire at several Palestinians, wounding Nathsheh, who later died of his injuries, the Palestinian health ministry told Wafa.

A second Palestinian was injured separately after being struck in the head by a tear gas canister, Wafa reported, though the source of the canister was not specified.

In Yabrud, a village east of Ramallah, two more Palestinians were wounded when settlers attacked the town's outskirts. Wafa reported that the settlers were protected by Israeli forces as residents attempted to confront them. Neither the Israeli military nor settler representatives have issued a public response to any of these incidents.

Detentions follow

Separately, Israeli forces detained six Palestinians from the Jerusalem and Tubas governorates, according to the Jerusalem Governorate and the Palestine Prisoner's Society. No charges or justification for the detentions were reported.

The arrests add to a prison population that, according to the Palestinian rights group Addameer, now stands at roughly 9,350 Palestinian political prisoners held in Israeli facilities, including 350 children and 90 women.

None of the claims in this report have been independently verified by Occupation Watch. There is no video or eyewitness account beyond the Palestinian institutional sources cited by Wafa, and no statement has been issued by the Israeli military regarding the shooting, the alleged obstruction of medical care, or the detentions. The reporting rests on the Palestinian health ministry, the Palestinian Red Crescent Society, the Jerusalem Governorate, and the Palestine Prisoner's Society.
